Project Scope

• Supplied total of 278 tradesmen for replacement of stave bellows in Blast Furnace Shell.
• Prequalified all boilermaker/welders to FCAW and GTAW processes inhouse. View the image gallery of the pre-qualification process in our facility
• Organised plasma gouging training for all boilermaker/welders
• Managed shift allocations and maintained 24 hour availability for issue resolution
• The Busicom trade team performed the following functions on the shutdown
  • Gouging out & removal of existing staves
  • Preparation & repair of furnace shell
  • Installation & welding of new bellows
  • Welding performed to pressure equipment code AS1210
