Project Scope
- Supplied total of 278 tradesmen for replacement of stave bellows in Blast Furnace Shell.
- Prequalified all boilermaker/welders to FCAW and GTAW processes inhouse. View the image gallery of the pre-qualification process in our facility
- Organised plasma gouging training for all boilermaker/welders
- Managed shift allocations and maintained 24 hour availability for issue resolution
- The Busicom trade team performed the following functions on the shutdown
- Gouging out & removal of existing staves
- Preparation & repair of furnace shell
- Installation & welding of new bellows
- Welding performed to pressure equipment code AS1210
