How to prepare a great Resume

Your resume should contain the following key information

1. Skill Summary: Provide a quick summary outlining:

  • Trade
  • No of years experience,
  • Industries worked in
  • Key skills including personal skills


2. Personal Information: Provide your Personal information and contact details including:

  • Full Name
  • DOB
  • Address
  • Mobile contact
  • Phone contact
  • Email address


3. Education: List all relevant training you have completed incorporating:

  • Formal qualifications
  • Trade certificates
  • Tickets and Licenses


4. Employment history: Detail your work history in date order, starting from your most recent job including:

  • Company name
  • Industry
  • Duration of employment
  • Description of project
  • Role and specific duties on the job


5. Achievements (optional): A summary of your previous achievements or career highlights covering:

  • What you achieved
  • How you achieved it
  • How this benefited the company you worked for.


6. Referees: A list of at least two referees from your previous jobs. Ensure that they have consented to be your referee. This should include:

  • Referees name
  • Work relationship (e.g. Supervisor),
  • Company name
  • Contact number.
