Busicom Solutions Pty Ltd ensures all projects worked on by its employees and sub-contractors are constructed in a manner to avoid significant or lasting impacts on the environment.  Resources in line with the importance attached to our environment are made available to comply with all relevant Acts and Regulations, the Environment Operations Act 1997 (NSW) as amended ensuring that the workplace is safe and without risks to health.  In like manner resources and procedures relating to waste management and minimisation are made available to comply with the Waste Minimisation and Management Act, 1995 (NSW) as amended to ensure all construction spoil generated during jobs is correctly removed or recycled. The company acknowledges that all contracts undertaken have the potential to impact on aspects of our environment. To counter this Busicom has established work practices and ongoing reviews to ensure our Project Managers, Site Supervisors, employees and trade sub-contractors are equipped to identify hazards, assess related risks and where required develop and implement mitigation and control processes to remove risks of environmental damage. Through management meetings, training, induction, toolbox meetings and manuals staff is equipped to understand the company’s responsibility when working on projects. The protection process is inter-related to the operation of our Site Safety Management Plan, Safe Work Method Statements, Site Environmental Management Action Plan and Environmental Checklist developed and/or modified for site specific conditions. In conjunction with implemented environmental management procedures are similar strategies for waste management control, minimisation, collection and removal from sites.  At the start of each project appropriate waste storage containers or daily removal activities are put in place and the removed spoil is transferred to registered waste reception or recycling facilities. 



The Hierarchy of Control Used for Environmental Protection and Waste Management Control Procedures on all Busicom projects are as follows; 

1.         Identify and conform to legislative requirements pertaining to our industry 
2.         Consult with the necessary authorities regarding waste disposal 
3.         Design and implement safe systems of operation 
4.         Design and implement correct disposal procedures 
5.         Implement a preventative maintenance program at each work site 
6.         Implement an employee awareness program
